Everything revolves around the sun
The sun as the central, inexhaustible motif in my artistic work.
Our fixed star incessantly produces light, vital energy and warmth, which I seek to transfer onto the canvas – to render them visible and perceptible.
The sun is my motivation as well as my inspiration, and bears great significance for me not only artistically, but also personally.
Every morning the sun rises and unremittingly emanates light energy. This recurrence is reflected in “my suns” – the sun as a motif becomes essential and limitless for me. My approach is meditative in nature – the same theme reappears in various forms of implementation, size, coloring and color mixing techniques. Similarly, the sun permanently varies in appearance, and yet is always the same.
